This is to ensure the patient does not experience any pain during dimpleplasty. The surgeon will mark the position of the dimple. A hole is made on the inside of the cheek using a sharp instrument.

An absorbable suture is secured through this opening to the underside of the skin. The dimple is visible after the procedure and is present all the time initially. Gradually as healing takes place, the dimple will be visible only while smiling.

It is a short procedure and takes around 20 to 30 minutes. The patient can leave after the procedure.

Recovery from Dimple Creation Surgery

We advise the patient to apply some ice packs to help with the swelling. There is no downtime, and the patient can return to normal activities a day or two after the procedure.
